ABSTRACT

Interdisciplinary teams work cooperatively supporting the delivery of services to individuals, families, and caretakers. At times, differing perspectives make collaboration challenging which can negatively impact caregivers and client outcomes, especially when goals and/or interventions are not in alignment. Professionals require instruction in communication strategies that can help break down professional barriers to collaborate effectively while maintaining their own ethical and professional obligations. In this two-hour webinar, Dr. Julia Fiebig will provide instruction in the behavior that promotes effective communication and collaboration for prosocial behavior in a group, core design principles needed for equitable group functioning, inclusive decision making processes, and principles of theme centered communication. At the end of this event, members of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams will leave with information that will encourage more effective communication and collaboration and strategies to establish prosocial behavior across members of the group to improve the way the group functions
